Some of the Women of Joseph J. Albanese, Inc.

At Joseph J. Albanese, Inc., we believe in hiring, supporting and promoting women.

Meet five of our women in project management roles who are making huge contributions to our business and clients.

Alexis Susnow, Project Executive

Recently promoted to project executive, Alexis is our first woman in this high-level project management position. She joined the company as a project engineer in 2013. Over the past nine years, she has been promoted four times, holding positions of senior project engineer, project manager, senior project manager and her current position as project executive, which she received upon her return from maternity leave.

Alexis brings her own special touch to managing projects and getting them done safely. Alexis loves working with Joseph J. Albanese, Inc. because it is a family-owned company where the CEO knows everyone by name and cares about each of them — like family.

Whittney Williams, Project Engineer

Whittney joined as a project engineer in February 2020 upon graduating from college. Growing up, she lived in several developing cities and enjoyed watching the buildings going up. Today, she manages projects from the ground up and plays a key role in seeing them built.

Whittney enjoys working with the team because together, men and women can find revolutionary ways to build virtually any type of construction.

Vanessa Aspera, Senior Project Engineer

Vanessa joined the company as an intern in 2019 and received a promotion to project engineer while attending school. Upon graduation from college and receiving her Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Transportation and a Minor in Construction, she was promoted to senior project engineer when she formally joined the company.

The first college graduate in her family, Vanessa is proud of her accomplishments and even more proud of her contributions to the community. She feels that opportunities for women in construction are limitless, whether it’s in project management or field work, especially at Joseph J. Albanese, Inc.

Kiera Mezzetti, Project Manager

Kiera joined the company as an intern in 2013. Since then, she has been promoted three times, from project engineer to senior project engineer to her current position as project manager.

Mother to two young children, Kiera appreciates the company’s flexibility so she can care for her children’s needs and still get her job done. She feels construction is a great career for women because of the opportunities for long-term success, especially at Joseph J. Albanese, Inc., which offers the opportunity to grow and be promoted from within.
